About

My name is Robbie Lawrence, I’m a photographer based in Berlin and this is Birnam, my little plot of digital earth. Birnam is the wood that sits above my Grandad’s old farm in Perth, it is the same wood that marches towards MacBeth on the eve of his capitulation. It was always a place of terror/wonder for me as a kid.

  1. Hi there Robbie
Hope you are well. First of all, I really admire your photos on Instagram and enjoy following your content.

I hope you don’t mind but I’m contacting you on behalf of Nikon to gauge your interest in trialling a new Nikon camera product.

You may have seen earlier this year that Nikon released SnapBridge an app which allows you to connect your Nikon camera and smart device seamlessly using Bluetooth to transfer the images taken on your DSLR camera straight to your smartphone. Its particularly useful for Instagrammers who want to get the photo straight to their phone from their camera (when there is no Wi-Fi connection).

We are considering a programme to get some of the Nikon products that use SnapBridge into the hands of influential people, like yourself, who will do exciting things with it.

If we did launch such a programme, would you be interested in participating? And we wondered if you had any thoughts on what you might possibly do if you could get photos straight to your phone or iPad to edit and upload?

It’d be great to get some initial thoughts from you. The sky’s the limit here, so don’t be afraid to suggest anything, no matter how big, small or crazy!

If you could come back to me over the next day or give me a ring, that would be great.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Thanks,
    Sally.
